Shohei Ohtani just won a World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers last season.

Shohei Ohtani will supposedly come to Fortnite as a cel-shaded skin in an upcoming update for the popular game. The Los Angeles Dodgers star would be the first MLB player ever for the battle-royale title.

On X, well-known Fortnite leaker Shiina posted that Ohtani will show up with the game's next update. It's added that apparently the power hitter (and pitcher) has been teased with promotional posters in Japan that highlight his jersey number: 17. So far, developer Epic Games hasn't announced anything related to Ohtani.

However, Ohtani wouldn't be the first sports star to get a skin in Fortnite. Soccer player Neymar Jr. appeared in the battle-royale title in 2021; NBA star LeBron James arrived in 2021 as well; NFL star Patrick Mahomes was brought to the game in 2022; and Shaq showed up a few months ago in October.

Last week, a new class-action lawsuit was reportedly filed against Fortnite in California and Texas regarding "fake countdown timers" that allegedly were utilized in the item shop years ago. Meanwhile, last month saw the introduction of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. It's called Lawless and brought GTA-like map changes to the battle-royale game.

Fortnite is one of 10 live-service games that dominates US playtime on PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
