One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows' Saitama KOs Everyone In One Punch

Saitama takes a while, but it's over once he arrives.

Prolific anime game publisher Bandai Namco has unveiled a trailer for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, which shows new characters and Saitama knocking everyone out with his signature one-punch style.

The 3D brawler implements some sort of "Hero Arrival" mechanic, where you must survive while Saitama makes his way to the battlefield. Performing combos and perfect guards reduces his arrival time. Matches seem to become one-sided when he gets there, as Saitama brushes off damage and effortlessly defeats everyone.

Alongside series regulars Saitama, Genos, and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, S-Class heroes Atomic Samurai, Bang, and Tatsumaki are joining the game's roster. These three characters bump A Hero Nobody Knows' roster to 13 playable characters. It's unclear what the final roster count will be.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows was announced back in June 2019. No release date was provided, but the game is "coming soon" to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

I certainly did not expect Saitama to be implemented in such a manner.

Interesting take.. I love One Punch Man. Just hard to make a game for it but this possible. I do not think I would buy it though.

Yep. That's how I'd do it. Mostly have the player using characters like Genos, maybe some other heroes, who are still incredibly cool and fun to play, and then have Saitama pop up at the end to serve as the finisher, although I'd still have some kind of "massacre" mode where you get to play Saitama for a bit where he just runs around one shotting everything for shits and giggles. Maybe even have a point score mode where you score more points for linking one shots after one shots without getting hit, but lose points if you get hit and lose your momentum. Basically trying to recreate the feel of his battle with the imaginary subterranean people.

Would be kinda cool to have Shigeo (Mob) as a guest character.

I enjoyed the 3v3 gameplay with the Naruto games but part the draw was having tons of characters. With only 13 characters I’d only enjoy this game for a couple of hours and then that’ll be the end of it, unless they put in a bunch of other kinds of content.

So if you play as Mumen Rider he's basically just delaying until Saitama gets there...amazing.
