The Chinese open-world RPG Where Winds Meet will release globally later in 2025 for PC and PS5. There will be a closed beta test on May 16 that is exclusive to United States, Canada, Japan, and South Korea--and you can sign up now.

In order to sign up, go the game's official website and log in using Google or Facebook. Click the "Sign up for beta" button and select your language. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up. The website will then ask several questions about how you learned about the beta test and what made you interested in signing up, as well as your platform preference, your gaming habits, and how familiar you are with Chinese mythology and history.

There are also rewards for those who pre-register the game, wishlist it, and join its Discord community. They include the Eternal Harmony and Golden Oath accessories and the Way of Tranquility skin.

By completing different tasks like following the game's official Twitter page or inviting a friend, players can earn "draws" to win additional rewards, including a World Exploration Pack or two Golden Wound Powder items. These rewards will be sent via in-game mail after the game is released.

Where Winds Meet takes place during the Chinese Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms Period. Players will assume the role of a young swordsman and have access to many different weapons like dual blades, glaives, umbrellas, and even weapon-less options like Tai Chi.

Where Winds Meet was initially revealed at Gamescom 2022 and a new trailer aired during the May 2024 State of Play presentation. The game launched in China for PC in December 2024 and mobile in January.
