Orwell's Animal Farm Game Coming This Fall From Reigns Developer
It will be a narrative-based, choose-your-own-adventure game launching on mobile and PC.
Developer Nerial has announced that a video game based on George Orwell's most popular satirical novel, Animal Farm, is set to drop this fall on mobile and PC. You can wishlist the game on Steam right now.
Orwell's Animal Farm, according to its Steam store page, is a narrative-based, choose-your-own-adventure game that retells the events of the novel. In the game, you decide what happens to everyone: the animals, the farmers--all are at your mercy. No official gameplay has been revealed but Nerial did share a teaser trailer.
Nerial also shared screenshots and outlined the game's system requirements. Orwell's Animal Farm is written by Emily Short (the creator of the 2000 interactive fiction game Galatea) and narrated by Assassin's Creed Origins voice actor Abubakar Salim (Bayek).

Orwell's Animal Farm comes from the developer of Reigns, a 2016 strategy game published by Developer Digital that has spawned two additional sequels with a new gender in Reigns: Her Majesty and an IP crossover in Reigns: Game Of Thrones.
Orwell's work was recently referenced in Fortnite immediately after a very public spat between tech giants Apple and Google and video game conglomerate Epic Games. Apple banned Fortnite from the App Store, which prompted Epic to publish a rendition of Apple's 1984 Macintosh commercial called Nineteen Eighty-Fortnite.
