Overwatch-Branded Truck Gets in Accident at PAX
The "Soldier 76" truck hit another car, and it happened to occur right next to Battleborn studio's head, Randy Pitchford.
While the Overwatch Uber cars provided a stylish way to get around the PAX East convention this weekend, it's less impressive when one of them gets into a fender bender. A Ford F650 Supertruck bearing the Overwatch Solider: 76 branding hit the side of a car outside of the convention center late yesterday evening (via Shacknews).
The moment was captured by Gearbox Software's CEO, president, and co-founder Randy Pitchford. Pitchford was at the convention talking about his studio's game Battleborn, which is in many ways a direct competitor to Blizzard's Overwatch.
Just left PAX East and out full house Main Theater show to see a monster truck branded with competitive game run over a civilian car.

You cannot make this up. They just smashed into the side of the civilian car. What a nightmare for everyone.

Pitchford noted that, although he tried to help, "They had it sorted. Fortunately, no one was hurt."
While it wasn't a severe accident, Pitchford also tweeted out the photo below showing the aftermath of the accident.
We've reached out to Blizzard for any comment on the accident, but it seems that otherwise the "Uberwatch" promotion has gone on without any other incident.
