Overwatch's New Character Won't Arrive Until Later In March
Orisa remains PTR-only for now.
While she's already live on the Public Test Realm, Overwatch's newest character may not launch in the full game until later this month.
That's according to Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan, who shared a vague time table for the release of Orisa in a forum post.
"Just to clarify, we're leaving Orisa on the PTR for a little while," he explained. "We're getting great feedback and fixing a lot of issues."
Indeed, Orisa has already seen changes on the PTR since her introduction last week. An update released today lowered the magazine size of her weapon and increased the cost of her Ultimate.
"I know this feels a little longer than other PTR periods, but we think it will be for the better," Kaplan added. "We know how anxious you all are to have Orisa join your ranks... and she will soon... but most likely she will go live later in the month rather than this early."
Orisa is a Tank-class character who can defend and buff her teammates. You can read about her abilities and see her skins here or see her in action in the video above.
The PTR patch adding Orisa also made changes to Bastion and Zarya. These were then followed by today's update that tweaked Orisa, Ana, Winston, and others.
