Owen Hart Still in Attitude

Contrary to rumors flying around the Internet, GameSpot News has confirmed with Acclaim that Owen Hart, who fell to his death earlier this week during a wrestling event, will remain a character in WWF Attitude for the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation. An Acclaim spokesperson said that unless there is a last-minute request from the World Wrestling Federation or the Hart family, fans can count on him being on the Attitude roster.

Acclaim, however, did state that a few alterations are being made because of the tragic death. In the create-a-wrestler mode, Owen will no longer have his blue blazer outfit selectable (the costume he was wearing when he fell 50 feet to his death). Also, the spokesperson for Acclaim mentioned that a special dedication in the game would be made in memory of the wrestler.

The PlayStation version of WWF Attitude is slated for late June, while the Nintendo 64 version is set to ship on July 2.
