Nintendo has announced that Paper Mario will be coming to Nintendo Switch on December 10 for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the publisher revealed a brand-new trailer for the classic N64 title, saying, "Adventure through the Mushroom Kingdom to save Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches as a paper-thin version of Mario!"

This makes Paper Mario the latest game to be added to the Switch's Nintendo 64 game collection, joining other titles such as The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, Star Fox 64, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, and more.

Paper Mario, which was originally released in 2000, follows Mario in a 2D adventure with a turn-based battle system after Bowser steals the Star Rod and kidnaps Princess Peach. The player must travel across the tropical jungles of Lavalava Island to the frosty heights of Shiver Mountain, while also mastering the abilities of the seven Star Spirits.

There are over 50 Badges to locate that, when equipped, will grant special abilities and powerful attacks. There are also over 100 items to discover to keep Mario in the battle.

To access the game and other N64 titles, players will need to subscribe to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier for $50, annually.

Also included with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Happy Home Paradise expansion which launched in November. Nintendo said that this would be the last free major content update for the game.
