Penny Arcade, the popular games-oriented Web comic, will be holding a gaming convention and exposition August 28 and 29 in Bellevue, Washington. The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) will include panel discussions on the game industry and will feature console, PC, and tabletop gaming tournaments, including an exhibition and free play of Halo 2. One of the tournaments, called the "Omegathon," will see pre-chosen attendees compete in a multistage and multigame tournament for the "Omega Collection," a collection of games and consoles valued at more than $15,000. Registration for the event has already ended, but $15 one-day and $25 two-day passes can be bought at the door. For more information, see the official PAX Web site.
