Persona 5's Anime Is Getting A $300 Blu-Ray Collection And English Dub
Looking to own Persona 5: The Animation on Blu-ray? It'll cost you.
The immense popularity of the 2017 JRPG Persona 5 led to it getting a 26-episode anime series, and now you can own the entire show on Blu-ray--but for a steep price. Persona 5: The Animation's complete Blu-ray box set will release September 29, 2020, distributor Aniplex of America announced this weekend, and if you're looking to add it to your collection, it'll cost you a whopping $300. That's obviously much more expensive than we'd normally expect to see for a Blu-ray collection like this, but apparently this distributor is known for its pricey anime collector's editions.
The Persona 5 Blu-ray collection includes six Blu-ray discs with all 26 episodes plus two "supersized" special episodes: "Dark Sun" and "Stars and Ours." The box set also marks the release of the English dub for the first time, which features original cast members from the game. Both Japanese and English audio are available with the Blu-ray.

In addition to the episodes, the box set includes 12 illustration cards and various other bonus content, including textless opening and endings, commercials, and several trailers.
The art cards seem cool, but you're really paying for the Blu-ray discs here, which include about 14.5 hours of content, so it's up to you to decide if that's worth shelling out 300 bucks. If you just want to watch the series, you can find it on anime streaming services like Crunchyroll and Hulu. And if you're hungry for more Persona 5 content, consider picking up Persona 5 Royal, which expands upon the story you know and adds new characters, confidants, locations, and more. It's currently on sale for $49.94 at Amazon. Meanwhile, the Persona 5 anime's Blu-ray box set is available to pre-order now from Right Stuf.
