PES6 now works on PS3

Well i don't believe that Sony would make such a blunder of putting in emotion engine for extra cost in the first place only to have it removed but if Emulation softwares are working well then i guess its all good !!! :D

I wonder if the software emulation will ever allow us to play our PS2 games in high-definition resolutions. If they provide that capability, they can have the Emotion Engine for all I care. It's the one true benefit of the 360's software emulated backward compatibility.

I bought Guitar Hero II for the PS3 thinking that it would play in my new PS3, but it doesn't! I'm pissed because firmware update 1.7 led me to believe that the problem had been fixed. So now I have the game, but no way to play it since my release-day-PS2 died late last year. Please help me if you have a solution to his problem. Thanx!

i didnt exactly buy my ps3 to play ps2. i have a ps2 for that... but its all good. and to NinjaFoot, socer is the most popular sport in the world and requiers alot of skill but i like NFL aswell. you cant just say a sport "blows" because you dont like it

Xbox owners need firmware updates to play almost all of their favorite original Xbox games, so you're not exactly left out. Considering how solid the PS3 software emulation library actually is, there is zero reason to complain. At least they're fixing things.

I still can't believe we still need firmware updates to be able to play PS2 games on our PS3's.Old news, I know, but it still annoys me.

I hate that people call football "soccer", WTF is soccer, IT'S FOOTBALL, the sport that americans play isn't football, how often do they use their feet? The so-called "soccer" is the real football. i agree with you snipe2004! i don't see the BLU-RAY dying like ignorant people claim it is, over here in the UK, i see the BLU-RAY becoming even more and more popular, especially after the ps3 launch. haha microsoft does not even give 360 buyers HD DVD drives in either of their console packs! even the *cough* elite pack has nothing.

leave it to the fanboys to come in here and tout that the 360 still has sold more than the ps3, or argue for whatever reason to justify their purchase of a 360. Like I've said before, all fanboys that b!tch about problems with the ps3 are just going to be corrected easily through firmware updates. And the ps3 is actually picking up steam anyway.

Well they finally patched up another hole in that mess called the ps3. has anyone ever noticed it looks like an airplane wing or am i the only one?

@sonygirl23: Actually you forget that everybody was on the Playstation cause that was all that was really out there and games were only being made for that at the time. For a good while, Sega's Dreamcast was top dog. Sony won that "console war" because of better marketing and brand-name recognition to the average consumer; which didn't even remotely play video games back then. Now everybody has somehow played a gaming console. But in regards to this, am I reading it right that the EU and AUS PS3 only had emulation of the Emotion Engine? Not actual hardware for it? I thought there was just a simple firmware issue that would active the the Emotion Engine in the PS3 hardware. Oh well, PES6 working = a good thing. :D

Hell yeah, PES6 works for the PS3. I cant believe the PS2 version outdoes the 360 version :D Konami's really playing with Microsoft. I expect MS probably gave them a few million to make it better than the PS version lol.

sonygirl, yeah, so you didn't see comparison of games that were on both systems, PS3 and 360? If so, then i guess you saw that every game they compared but i believe one, the 360 version looked better. I'm not saying the PS3 won't get there, but for the time being, the systems are probably more evenly matched than you think with the 360 being ahead, at least at this time.

and this is big news why?? @Sonygirl: i agree with Kinglink2, because of ur name ur opinion sounds really biased. PS3 and 360 both have things going for them, and whether or not Halo3 is good or absolutely sh*t, it will sell systems (like Halo 2 did). And what happened to the problem that the PS3 doesnt have any good exclusives atm? :P
