Phantasy Star Online 2 Closed Beta Starts On Xbox One This Weekend
Whatever progress you make will carry over to PSO2's open beta and official US launch.
Phantasy Star Online 2's closed beta is set to kick off this weekend for Xbox One players through Microsoft's Xbox Insiders program. Sign-ups are available now and pre-loading has already begun.
PSO2's closed beta starts on Friday, February 7 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET and ends Saturday, February 8 at 11:59 PM PT / 2:59 PM ET. You have the opportunity to earn exclusive in-game rewards during the closed beta, and all progress will carry over to the open beta and official game launch. Some in-game rewards include login bonuses such as accessories and consumables, first-time adopter items like emblems, and more.
The closed beta will feature "unique challenges" called urgent quests, in which you can obtain special rewards at specific times throughout PSO2's short playtest. Check below for a list of available urgent quests.

Also during the game's closed beta is an in-game concert performed by Quna, something of a Hatsune Miku for PSO2's Oracle. Taking place on Ship's Shopping Plaza from 8-8:15 PM PT / 11-11:15 PM ET on February 8, you will receive a few buffs after the concert, including an increase in drop rates and experience points.
While Phantasy Star Online 2's closed beta is exclusive to Xbox One, the currently unscheduled open beta will be playable on Windows 10 via the Xbox Insiders Hub app, which can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. It's worth noting that, after a reveal during E3 2019, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed that PSO2 isn't exclusive to the Xbox brand whenever it officially launches in North America.
