This sounds really good. I am sad that I thought this was only a rumor because I had read about a "proposed PixelJunkMonsters project for the PSP" last year and then I read that Sony was not going to be bringing anymore good games to the PSP and so I traded my PSP for the DSi. Now I'm thinking about getting a job so I can buy either the PSP Go! or PSP 3000. I sure hope SONY does not retire the beloved UMD because I am not excited about the PSP Go! I prefer the PSP 3000 and that's what I desire to purchase and not the new PSP Go!. I wonder if the PSP 3000 Ratchet and Clank bundle is still being sold? Because I'd really like to purchase the PSP 3000 Ratchet and Clank/National Treasure bundle.

I wonder if this will be able for download

one Question, Pixel Junk belongs to Sony ? i have a PS3 and my friend have an XBOX360 , he loves that game he always want to visit me to play it, he just keep waiting to come to his Xbox 360 but looks like thats not possible.

Why is it everyone thinks the PSP doesn't have any games, honestly if more people tried the many different type of game on the PSP they wouldn't be complaining about the it. The PSP has always kept me satisfied on long journeys, and there are probably millions of games that are great but aren't well known.

Any info on wether that new content will be made available as DLC for PS3 users? I'd love to get a reason to revisit this great game.

It was only a matter of time before the charming PixelJunk Monsters would make its way to the PlayStation Portable. This tower defense, real-time strategy game may look simple, but it can get quite challenging. Luckily, it has co-op, so you can always grab a friend to give you a hand. For our review of the PS3 version, please see << LINK REMOVED >> . At a recent PlayStation Gamer's Day in Los Angeles, we were able to find out a few details about PixelJunk Monsters on the PSP.

The game comes with everything from the PlayStation 3 version (including encore package). New additions will include a never-seen-before island with 10 stages, more maps, two more tower types as well as new foes. One of the new towers is an experience tower that will temporarily give experience to other buildings within its radius. However, you can't sell it or destroy it. Another new tower type is a trap tower, which needs to be built in pairs across from one another so you can stun approaching enemies to slow them down. Look to the skies if you're wondering what the new enemy types are, because they'll be coming in with a different approach. Other bonus features include medal challenges to complete, as well as PSP themes and videos to unlock. PixelJunk Monsters is essentially the same game except with added content. We were told that there are some interesting additions to multiplayer, like a request wheel that bring up icons to let the other player know what he or she should be doing. It was referred to as an "iconic chat" system. The core gameplay will remain the same, however and they are currently working to make sure that Wi-Fi is included along with ad hoc play. A release date hasn't been confirmed yet, but Sony is looking at a fall release.
