The latest patch for Sony Online's massively multiplayer role-playing game, EverQuest, lets players assume the role of low-level monsters. The patch for the player-vs.-player servers lets players choose to be assigned a random low-level monster and hunt and attack other creatures and players. Monsters cannot interact with other players or creatures other than by moving and attacking, and while controlling a monster, players will not be able to speak, trade, or perform any other actions.
