Now Playing: Dehaka Spotlight - Heroes of the Storm

Both of these events are meant to celebrate this weekend's finals for the Heroes of the Dorm tournament. Players representing various colleges are competing to win tuition money, with a winner set to be crowned this Sunday, April 10.

The free character weekend is unusual for Heroes of the Storm. The game normally offers a rotation of 10 characters each week that players can choose to use for free in addition to any they purchase (either with real-world money or gold earned by playing the game). This is a good opportunity to give recent additions Xul or Dehaka a try, as it'll likely be some time before they enter the free rotation.

Unfortunately, this event won't allow you to play the game's next character--Tracer, the first one to come from Overwatch--as she isn't releasing until April 19, the day after the event ends. She sounds like she'll be quite interesting though, with some new mechanics unlike anything currently in the game.
