Electronic Arts is celebrating the launch of Star Wars Battlefront's Outer Rim expansion this week by giving all players who log in this weekend 5,000 free credits.

It is really that simple. Just log in to the game and you'll get the allotment of credits to spend on whatever you want. EA said in a tweet that the offer is good all weekend, so it probably ends on Sunday.

Outer Rim arrived on March 22 for people who own the Battlefront Season Pass. The content, which includes new maps, a new mode, and more weapons (among other things), will be available to buy for everyone else starting April 5.

Though the Outer Rim expansion is exclusive to Season Pass holders, all players benefited from a huge patch released on Tuesday alongside the expansion. Among other things, it added a spectator mode and redesigned the multiplayer menu with the aim of helping players get into matches more quickly. It also made lots of weapon and vehicle balance changes.
