A dozen more games are now available in the PlayStation Now streaming catalog, boosting the total number of titles in the program to over 650. As announced on the PlayStation Blog, the 12 games added this month cover PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 titles, including PS4 racing games Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo and Table Top Racing, and the shooter Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition.

This month's PS2 titles include Wild Arms 3, Okage: Shadow King, and Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits. You can see the full 12-title list at the bottom of this post.

Additionally, Sony has brought back the discounted one-month ($10) and one-year ($100) PS Now subscription packages. These offers are good only for new subscribers and run through September 25. Additionally, Sony is now selling the three-month pass for $30 (down from $45). This deal is also good through September 25, but it applies to both new subscribers and existing ones.

PlayStation Now gives players unlimited access to a library of 650 titles. Sony updates the PS Now catalog with a new batch of games monthly. For more, check out GameSpot's roundup of all the PlayStation Now games here.

As it does every month, Sony also announced which PS Now games were most popular during the month prior. For May, the most popular games included Red Dead Redemption, God of War (the PS2 original), The Last of Us, Fallout: New Vegas, and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, among others.

June PlayStation Now Games:

Once the PlayStation V releases in a few years, this service is surely to be dropped. I do not have super fast internet, so whenever I had my free trial of PS Now, the game would be very choppy and lag quite a bit. There is no way I would pay for a service that I can hardly use. I know my internet being slow isn't Sony's fault, but my point is that not everyone can use this service. An option to download these games would be great. Maybe for 7 days at a time or something? That way we could at least play them with no issues.

Would love to use it but all games lag and get choppy. 50mb/Up. Crap servers.

Some people don't care for older games. Some people do. Some have had a bad experience with PS Now. Some have had a positive one. Streaming might be the future for everyone, but that's still far off. So far that it's actually hard to predict when. 5 years? 10? 20?

If Sony wants to put a definite nail in Microsoft's coffin, they need to do this: make PS5 backwards compatible with every previous generation and offer the option to download and install (and play offline) any game in the PS Now catalog. Just like Netflix or Spotify. Now that sounds like the future of gaming to me.

@gfantini: Sony is way too shortsighted to ever do something that brilliant. Actually there isn't a gaming company I can think of that would be forward thinking enough to do something like that. Not even Valve.

@BloodMist: Half agreed. I'm betting the PS5 will be backwards compatible with PS4 games. It makes total sense from a business and technical perspective. You see, Microsoft is investing heavily on BC, hence Sony can't afford to loose that race. Specially now that it is so straightforward: the PS5 will most likely be based upon the very same architecture as the PS4. No disruptive changes like in previous generational leaps. In fact, not only the PS5 will run PS4 games, but they should look and perform better. Just like what Xbox One X is doing right now.

The question then lies on whether PS5 will run PS3, 2, 1 games. And that is not to be discarded. I guess it was very hard to emulate PS3 on PS4 because of the architecture and power of the Cell. Now, the PS5 will have a much more capable Ryzen-based CPU, which could open up interesting new possibilities. Honestly, I don't think it will happen as Sony is putting their eggs on streaming, but the possibility is finally there.

Finally, concerning the option to download games on PS Now: it's the natural next step for the service. Most streaming apps already offer it. Game Pass offers it (of course), which most people seem to prefer. So why not? The only reason I see is compatibility. Now, the option could be offered only on those games compatible with your hardware. Or, back to the first point…

Nah, I just have far too many PS3, PS2, and PS One classic games that I bought over the years, bought them lock, stock and barrel, with my hard earned money, to go for this crap. Maybe if Sony gave you say, the ability to play any game you bought on the PSN store on this service, then it might not seem so bad, and so greedy. Of course Sony are rather greedy pigs so they'd never do that.

Still not a substitute for backwards compatibility at all. Let me play my PS3 PS2 and PS1 discs on my PS4!

TBH, I find both PS Now and XOne's backwards compatibility quite useless. there are some exceptions, sure, but I don't think console games age well at all, so I can't really see myself paying for or loading a last-generation (or older) game that often to justify the investment.

I believe there are way too many great games being released now and not enough time to play them all, let alone past generation stuff.

@93ChevyNut: I've been playing mine a lot lately... One of my kids saw Fat Princess, and rightfully wanted in. Such a great game.

Up until the DS1 re-release last wek, I was hitting Demon's Souls quite a bit too... Jan&Feb were the last gasp for MP, and it stuck its claws back in again for awhile after that.

Still, only $100 for a full year is a very tempting price... My backlog on every platform is still very deep, so this would just increase that.

This service sucks. Xbox Game Pass is too much better. I prefer to download and play games offline instead of streaming.

I'm not putting words in your mouth. I'm telling you that going through the comments and posting little snarky one-offs at everyone is not appropriate behavior in the comments section. It's disruptive and spammy.

You made your point. Most people agree with you. It's all good. Your job is done.

Wish it would die already. 1 we would get backwards compatibility within a week. 2 They'd have to innovate it to be useful (like adding horsepower to games, or online servers)

@itchyflop: For sure, but you have to remember not everyone was a major hermit and now there could be lots of games people want to try that they don't own or may even be introduced to new games they would normally not buy.

Still poo. Why in the world should PS+ subs pay an additional sub to use PS Now? And do you still have to pay an individual game fee on top of the sub? That was bonkers.

It doesn't matter how many games they offer if I'm not particularly compelled to play them. There's just nothing that I really feel like I'm going to bother with, even for $10 a month. I'd rather just buy a game on sale that I really want to play. I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea like some but I just don't care enough to bother.

@lunarsword: I think it's a given they are going to do backwards compatibility for PS4 titles on PS5 anyway. It won't affect PS Now sales cause honestly if someone doesn't own a PS4 game next gen which is on PS Now it's simply a decision between owning the game or using PS Now to play it plus x, y and z game. It's a personal choice like quite a few of the PS Now titles are available to buy on the store.
