It requires a 5MB connection. If you aren't sure if you have it, then I'd suggest trying it. That is the same connection Sony are suggesting you have. So if you can't use OnLive you probably won't be able to use PSNow.

In theory it should be great. In practice as I'm sure you will find out if you try OnLive is that you will end up with a lower resolution game, with compression artefacts littering the game. It looks blurry and messy. I'm not a fan. And in fact if PSNow turns out anything like OnLive, I won't be touching it.

OnLive is alive and available right now and it has gone no where and that is offering modern games. PSNow is offering old games, which I don't know about anyone else I do play on a rare occasion but they are rarely for more than a quick nostalgia trip. The only games I even consider playing again from start to finish are Final Fantasy VII and VIII. Everything else fills a couple of hours before I give it up with a smile on my face and never touch it again.

Playstation has already said they are thinking of using emulators for the PS1 and PS2 games which means so far it is only PS3 games available. Which people will likely have already played and would be good right now in the down time between games coming out that people want to play and the launch. This service won't even hit Europe till 2015 and by that time they will be busy playing their PS4 games.

I think in actual fact by suggesting they bring out PS1 and 2 games on emulator instead has just made the chance of Gaikai being successful very slim.
