Now Playing: The Last Of Us Part II Video Review

Of note, The Last of Us: Part II will be available on PS Now only until January 3, 2022 and Victor Vran: Overkill Edition was already available for the streaming service in Europe. The Last of Us: Part II is the only game among the new additions to specifically have an end date listed.

With Sony steadily building out PlayStation Now's library, as well as adding upgrades including 1080p streaming and select game downloads, the service has seen a surge of popularity recently.

In other news, October's free PlayStation Plus games will go live on October 5 as well. These include Hell Let Loose, PGA Tour 2K21, and Mortal Kombat X.

A solid month for PS Now which no subscriber can gripe about. Unfortunately for me, I already own four of these offerings but I may give Desperadoes 3 a go if I have time.

Played ff8 on gamepass this year after last playing it in 2000, good nostalgic trip.

The extra features help a lot, such as speeding though long summon scenes.

You damn gen Y.. or whatever, jump on the FF8 remaster and see what real men and women had to play way back in the 5th gen of gaming. What an amazing game for its time, what an amazing teacher Quistis Trepe. Back when Clinton was still in office, when Smash Mouth was at the top of the charts, and sexual identity pronoun was what ever older classmates yelled at you when you got off the bus.

Well worth playing.

@jenovaschilld: Millennials (Gen Y) have probably had a chance to play FF8 via remasters on PS3/XB360/PC already but Gen Z will probably look upon it with derision as an archaic relic of gaming past which is a shame as it has some amazing moments. The cut scenes were jaw dropping at the time but look very dated now but its core gameplay and exploration is still highly enjoyable despite the often tedious draw system.

They'll never know how good they have it now but I wouldn't give up those sweet memories of playing games like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Wipeout, Gran Turismo 1, Tony Hawk's PS, Tomb Raider etc, etc. It's when gaming changed and the world suddenly noticed that it wasn't just for the geeks anymore.

[ Sorry, rant over! 😄 ]
