PlayStation Plus Free Games For April 2025 Available Now

PS Plus subscribers can visit Old Detroit, head to a bad part of Texas, and investigate some cyber-crimes in April.

PlayStation has released April 2025's batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. All PS Plus members will be able to claim a trio of freebies as of today: RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory.

RoboCop: Rogue City is a surprisingly faithful trip to Old Detroit. While it has moments of tedium and meandering between missions, it more than makes up for it with its action. From ricocheting bullets off of surfaces to bulldozing your way through squishy enemies, the game looks and feels like an authentic slice of RoboCop action. With a standalone expansion on the way, this is also a great time to enforce Murphy's law before it arrives.

Sticking with screen-accurate adaptations, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of our favorite asymmetrical horror experiences based on a cult-classic slasher film. While similar games feature a team of players working together to survive a run-in with a nigh-unstoppable Hollywood monster, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre flips the script on its head by throwing Leatherface and his family of cannibals at a group of potential victims.

Lastly, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory will see you step into the gumshoes of Keisuke Amazawa, who has been accused of a crime he didn't commit. Diving into the Digital World of Digimon, Amazawa joins a group of hackers to uncover the mysteries plaguing the land and possibly find the real culprit behind the crime he was falsely accused of.

March's freebies are no longer available. You'll have until the May games arrive on May 5 to claim April's lineup.

How is TTCM? I’ve heard it was average? Robocop is apparently good from what I’ve heard and read.

Gamers on a budget really should use Gamefly.

$15 a month for two games at any given time really pays off on bad or shorter games....

@sippio: In my opinion I think GP on Xbox/PC is a sweeter choice. Just my thoughts.

@sippio:

I had Gamefly and it was like $1 for a month trial for 2 games last year. I got the games that I wanted from the service though returning them was a problem. They got lost in the mail though gladly Gamefly didn't charge me when I canceled the service. I never had problems with Gamefly before in the past.

@sippio: Nope. It’s $25.95 for 2 games, and it’s $17.95 for one game. On top of that, good luck getting the most wanted games. Even if you do, it generally takes 3-5 days to receive the game, and that’s with a distribution center 20 minutes away from me. I used it for a little while, but the turn around time on getting games just felt like a waste. There was always really low stock of anything good, too. Even when they had high stock, they would often send me things lower on my list.

Are these journalist getting paid by Sony to call them 'free' games?

So you still need PL+ to play them. what! lmao

This made sense when you owned them forever like PS+& XboxLive Gold monthly games used to be...

**So why arent they just adding Robocop & DragonAge to it's PS+ catalog?

@mooglestar: Oh, for me, buying a game is a guarantee that it will be a freebie within six months. Any requests?

Totally saw this coming for months (Robocop). It went on sale several times and I was very tempted. Glad I waited this one out!

Nice! Robocop Rogue City! I knew I could wait it out and it'd show up on PS+ or EGS.
