PlayStation Sends PewDiePie Cake With a Custom PS4 Controller Inside It for His Birthday
Quite the cake.
As a birthday gift for Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg, Sony sent YouTube's biggest star a PlayStation-themed cake. Cakes on birthdays are standard fare, but this item contained a special surprise. Kjellberg, 26 as of October 24, reveals on Twitter that the cake had a one-of-a-kind PlayStation 4 controller inside of it.
"I went for a late snack, but found a treasure! Thanks for this brilliant gift @PlayStation," he wrote.
The double-layer cake featured designs for the familiar DualShock buttons, as well as text that reads: "Greatness awaits inside." He then cut open the cake to find the controller, emblazoned with "26" on the touchpad and decorated with colorful PlayStation symbols all over it. With more than 40 million subscribers, PewDiePie is far and away YouTube's biggest name. One of his next projects is "Scare PewDiePie," described as a "reality-adventure series" for YouTube's new paid subscription service. In the program, produced by The Walking Dead studio Skybound Entertainment and Maker Studios, PewDiePie will encounter "terrifying situations inspired by his favorite video games."
