PlayStation2 Duke Nukem Official
Hail to the king baby! Take-Two Interactive makes the PlayStation2 version of Duke Nukem official.
Take-Two Interactive announced on Monday that the previously announced "next-generation console" Duke Nukem title will be coming to the PlayStation2 platform. The game will be developed by n-Space, the same development house that had developed Duke Nukem: Time to Kill for the PlayStation. N-Space is also developing Duke Nukem: Planet of the Babes for the PlayStation.
Duke Nukem for the PlayStation2 was licensed from 3D Realms Entertainment, a division of Apogee Software, and will be published under Take-Two's Rockstar Games label.
"Rockstar, like us, wants to break the rules and make a Duke console game that's as successful and innovative as the Duke PC titles," said Scott Miller, head of Apogee. "This takes real talent and commitment, and between Rockstar, Take-Two, and n-Space, I have no doubts about it happening."
Take-Two Interactive also announced that it has several other key titles in development for the PlayStation2 console.
