PlayStation2 Outcast 2 Details Revealed

In a recent chat session hosted by the German web site Outcast Network, developers at Appeal revealed some new details regarding Outcast 2 for the PlayStation2. Currently in preproduction, the game has been in the works for about a month now. Once the preproduction work is finished in December, the team anticipates an 18-month development period. Here are a few details revealed by the chat:

- Many of the characters from the original Outcast title will return in the sequel.- The PC version of Outcast 2 will support the latest graphics cards.- No voxels will be used in Outcast 2.- Both the PlayStation2 and PC versions of O2 will be DVD-based. - As for a Dolphin version of O2, a developer said, "Yes, why not?" - All the animals found in Outcast 1 will be found in the sequel.- Polygon count per character should be near 4,000.
