PlayStation's First Original Show, Powers, Canceled
The detective show set in a world full of superheroes is no more.
If you enjoyed PlayStation's original series Powers, then we have some bad news for you: the superhero detective show is canceled after two seasons, co-creator Brian Michael Bendis announced on Twitter.
"This is hard to tweet, but word is that Powers is sadly no more," Bendis tweeted. "Season 2 was the last. At least for now."
As for the "at least for now" comment, Bendis noted that one episode on YouTube generated over 4.5 million views and "people [behind the scenes] believe" in the show. He thanked fans for their support, adding that the Powers comic book, which he writes, will continue with Marvel as the publisher.
Powers was announced at Sony's E3 2014 press conference. Season 1 debuted in 2015, while Season 2 premiered this past May. You can watch both seasons for free if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Otherwise, you have to pay $25 for each season on the PlayStation Store.
