Pokemon Go June 2020 Community Day Details Announced
This month's Community Day takes place on Saturday, June 20, and features the Bug-type Pokemon Weedle.
Pokemon Go developer Niantic has shared some more details about June's Community Day, which takes place next Saturday, June 20. Like last month, the event will run for six hours instead of the usual three, from 11 AM to 5 PM local time, and there will be a variety of bonuses available throughout.
As previously announced, the featured Pokemon for June's Community Day is Weedle. The adorable Bug Pokemon will appear in the wild much more often than normal throughout the event, and you'll have your first chance to catch a Shiny Weedle in the game.
If you can evolve Weedle's evolved form, Kakuna, into Beedrill by 7 PM local time, two hours after the Community Day ends, it'll learn the event-exclusive move Drill Run, a powerful Ground-type Charge attack. Any Kakuna that you evolve within the time frame will learn Drill Run, even if you caught it prior to the Community Day, but you won't be able to get the move after 7 PM local time.

On top of increased Weedle spawns, Niantic will offer a few other in-game bonuses during June's Community Day. First, you'll receive triple the normal amount of Stardust for catching Pokemon during the event. Any Incenses you use will also remain active for three hours instead of the usual 30 minutes, and if you're Great Buddies with your Buddy Pokemon, it'll bring you helpful items like Poke Balls throughout the event.
Finally, Niantic will offer a special Community Day bundle in Pokemon Go's in-game shop. The bundle will include an Elite Charged TM, 30 Ultra Balls, three Star Pieces, and three Incense. You can read more about the event on the Pokemon Go website.
In the meantime, there are a lot of other events happening in Pokemon Go this month. The Legendary Reshiram is appearing in five-star Raids until June 16, when it'll be replaced by Zekrom. Latios and Latias are also returning to the game for a special Raid Weekend event from June 12-15, and June's new Field Research tasks are now live.
