Pokemon Go's Galarian Pokemon Still Available After The Throwback Event
Starting June 8, 7 km eggs will exclusively hatch into certain Alolan and Galarian Pokemon for a limited time.
The first Galarian Pokemon started appearing in Pokemon Go as part of the game's final batch of Throwback Challenges, but you'll still have a chance to get them even though that event has ended. Developer Niantic has announced that regional variants will be exclusively hatching from certain eggs "until further notice."
Although the Throwback Challenge event ended on June 8, you'll be able to hatch the following Galarian Pokemon from 7 km eggs:
- Galarian Meowth
- Galarian Zigzagoon
- Galarian Darumaka
- Galarian Stunfisk
You'll also have a chance to hatch the following Alolan Pokemon from 7 km eggs:
- Alolan Sandshrew
- Alolan Vulpix
- Alolan Diglett
- Alolan Meowth
- Alolan Geodude
- Alolan Grimer
As previously mentioned, these regional variants will be the only Pokemon to hatch from 7 km eggs for the foreseeable future, so if you get your hands on one of those, you know it'll hatch into either a Galarian or Alolan form. You can receive 7 km eggs from gifts sent by other players on your friends list.
Niantic has a lot of events lined up for Pokemon Go this month. The Legendary Pokemon Latios and Latias are returning for a special Raid Weekend event from June 12-15, while Zekrom will replace Reshiram in five-star Raids starting June 16. June's Community Day, meanwhile, is set for June 20, and the featured Pokemon this month will be Weedle.
June's Field Research tasks are also available. Each time you achieve a Research Breakthrough this month, you'll earn an encounter with the Ground-type Pokemon Trapinch, and you'll get extra Trapinch Candy for catching it.
