Pokemon Go's Nearby Feature Expands Again
Niantic has also made some changes to the feature.
Pokemon Go continues to evolve. Developer Niantic announced this week that the popular mobile game's Nearby feature is expanded to even more regions.
In a blog post, Niantic said the feature is now available in "most" regions in the world where Pokemon Go is available. Niantic has also tweaked how the feature works somewhat.
"To provide a better experience when searching for Pokemon in the real world, we have also made some changes to the way the Nearby Pokemon feature functions when there are only a few PokeStops in range," Niantic said. "We will continue to review the feedback submitted on our official social media accounts and in other channels and make changes if necessary."
The Nearby feature debuted in San Francisco and later grew to other markets in the US and across the world.
In other Pokemon Go news, Niantic has confirmed that more critters are coming to the game. The company will share more details this coming Monday, December 12. Additionally, thousands of Starbucks locations in the US are now sponsored PokeStops and Gyms.
