Project Entropia begins second beta phase
The unusual online role-playing game from MindArk adds 500 new players to the latest beta test.
MindArk AB has announced that the second phase of beta testing of its online role-playing game, Project Entropia, has begun. The new test includes 500 additional players and a 10 square kilometer playable area.
Project Entropia is built on an unusual business model in which the game will be free and players will pay no subscription fees. Instead, revenue will be generated through the sale of in-game items for real-world money. Players will adventure and explore in the virtual sci-fi world of Calypso, where they will encounter dangerous creatures and robots.
For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game. To submit an application to participate in future beta tests of the game, visit the official Project Entropia Web site.
