GameSpot News has learned that Knights of Carnage for the PlayStation has been cancelled. The game, originally slated to release in June, mysteriously vanished from THQ's release list. Now we know why - due to a scare over the uproar in gaming violence, THQ has decided to pull the plug on the project.

Knights of Carnage was developed by Toka, the same development house that handled Soul Fighter for the Dreamcast. The game actually shared many similarities with Soul Fighter, and it's likely that many elements from Knights of Carnage were adopted into the Dreamcast game.
