PS Plus: Last Chance To Grab September's Free PS4 Games
Return to Arkham City.
PlayStation Plus subscribers, your September 2019 free PS4 games are still available right now: Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3 are free to download from the PlayStation Store as long as you have an active PS Plus subscription. They'll be free to claim through September 30; make sure to grab them before then so you can continue playing for as long as you're a subscriber.
DC's dark superhero stars in Batman: Arkham Knight, which released in 2015. The third-person, single-player action-adventure game is set in an open-world Gotham City where you (as Batman) can explore freely, driving the iconic Batmobile or using your cape to fly. The story is set one year after Joker's death, as antagonists Scarecrow and Arkham Knight launch an all-out attack on Gotham City, forcing all civilians to evacuate and leaving only criminals behind to inhabit the city.
This month, you can also grab Darksiders III, a hack-and-slash Metroidvania-style adventure released in 2018. You'll take control of Fury, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who is tracking down the Seven Deadly Sins. Fury has quite a few weapons in her arsenal, ranging from whips and daggers to elemental magic. With a third-person perspective, the game also involves crafting, puzzle-solving, and some platforming.
October's PS Plus games have now been announced as part of the recent PlayStation State of Play stream. They include a pair of heavy hitters, as both MLB 19 and The Last of Us Remastered will be available beginning on Tuesday, October 1.
