PS3 MGS Online in works, Portable Ops expanded

Glad I didn't buy this yet. Now I can get both for a better deal. I just knew this was going to happen.

Online is bound to be good, now they just need to keep the servers up for more than a year! I feel really ripped off for re-buying snake eater only to have the online portion canceled so soon. Bad consumer relations. But still a great game.

how do you think doom got into peoples hands in the first place? It was shareware!

LOSTN: just stop posting. Depending on which version of Doom you are talking about, yes it had MODEM play, you could dial in and play someone over a modem. And yes the internet was around back then. Then after some time the service did become available to play Doom online, maybe not the original, but one of the upteen hundred versions of the game was playable.

When the closed the servers, there was still like 500 people playing every days. It's just that running servers costs money, and MGS3 didn't have any way to get more income to make them run longer. MGS4 could give new maps, new costumes or new modes on the PS Store for a fee and lots of people would buy them.

Does this mean that MGS4 doesn't have online? (I thought that some people said it had online...)

Some games just aren't meant to go online. Oblivion is a clear example, and it's a good thing it didn't go online or else it would've been horrible. I can see this game going great online, but only if they execute it properly.

Cant wait, But please release it in US free of charge..content packs should be free of charge.

I hope they have some online ranking system like Halo 2 where you could be evenly matched. Since I have been so discouraged to never even start up the subsistence disk ever again. Because I always get pitted towards pros or veterans and it isn't really fun after wasting 10 hours trying to get into the game :/

They better fix the online play from MGS3..

Felaipes > I'm thinking its kinda like a bundle. Play the first and then play the extras. Then again, its all a guess. MGO was awesome, even though I played for a short time. The game lacked the MGS feel but it was fun to play in all those modes (as generic as they were, they were still great).

I said it befor and i'll say it again Japan all ways get the good stuff.

Everytime kojima says "no more MGS for me," a bunch of new MGS got announced. I think it's becoming a trend now....

Incredible news! A new MGS for my PSP and a perfect online service. I loved the MGS3 online...

the real question is will the online feature be in MGS4 because if not it obviously there will be a Subsistence

If anything will make me consider buying the PS3 it will be Final Fantasy 13 and the fact that MGS4 is sounding better everyday. But I will wait until those games are out and they drop the price again. I'm not buying one just yet because there is still nothing out NOW I wanna play.

I want to see the video demo of MGS 4 and I want a date to Portable Ops Plus for the North America market.

I can't wait!!! I hope that the part of the game that focuses on Solid Snake in single player bridges the gap between MGS2 and MGS3. Also, I laughed out loud at the end. I loved how they made fun of the Power Rangers. Although the joke may be ten years late, but still lol. Edit: MGS2 and MGS4

Sweet new expansion to MPO. I love that they're adding MGO levels from Subsistence.

MGO has potential but was pretty bad. Good in theory, lets hope they fix the bugs for the new version. Not that i can play it anyways........

the people that say the first mgo was awful iether suked at it, or only played it a couple times, or started playing it after people got better.

this so called "expansion" better have a mic, like socom. and besides if it is an expansion it should be downloadable through the psp wi-fi doesnt everyone agree.... also i noticed in the video a kill house map cool or what.

subsistence online mode was very good for a first attempt. it was plagued with the same problems of all online fps, and by the end it became more a test of reflexes than stealth skills, but man i really loved how it played with the metal gear engine. fun as hell, and i was actually good at it lol
