PS4 Monster Hunter World Beta Now Available To Pre-Load

@sakaixx: What do we get with pre ordering it, hope its something special otherwise no point. Its not like it will sell out haha

@dehelix: The intermediate hunt is actually not so easy if you're not used to the game, jumping straight to a barroth must be quite difficult for newcomers. They actually included a bunch of useful items in the backpack to help mitigate that (You have poison and paralysis knives, armor powders and demon powders, electric trap, etc. + your cat special and cloak of choice)

I think as far as control goes you should be fine if you stick to the more regular weapons - dual swords and technical weapons have some combos in there that take a bit to get used to I guess.

Greatsword and hammer are really slow, but have very simple combos and are great for a hit and run playstyle. They might feel very sluggish though until you get used to them.

Longswords and Sword'N'shield have fairly simple combos and still allow alot of movement and feel faster in comparison.

Gulance and Lance are really simple, somewhat fast, but are actually alot more static movement-wise.

Else maybe you could try the guns or bows, I personally prefer melee weapons, but I had some friend online that felt alot more comfortable using guns for multiplayer atleast, I personally can't aim them on console haha.

I agree I don't like the flies thing either. I guess imma a bit old school.

First thing I did upon starting the game is actually disabling the camera locking, setting type 3 for item select because I couldn't deal with the annoying item wheel while I was selecting items xD

@dehelix: no problem. Its been great for me, since last played on psp this is the kind of upgrades I want but the series is still not that kind to new user.

@cboye18: Where've you been? Sony is pretty much telling everyone who doesn't pay for PS+ to **** off all the time. It's how they get people to pay for that crap after all. No way around it, no matter how much you complain.

@cboye18: it's a beta to stress test the global servers, not a demo. Big difference. With your negative attitude, I think we're best without you anyway.

@everson_rm: "Free" trial thats more lackluster than 4 ultimates demo.

@everson_rm: it's challenging, but so rewarding as well. I'd recommend watching Projareds guide, or look up Arekkz Gaming or Gaijinhunter on YouTube.

@snugglebear: It's only 6 gigs and some games have patches larger than that these days, but I am definitely glad they let us download early to potentially maximize playtime : )
