2.1 million well informed consumers. There is hope after all.

sony deserve it, they clearly made the best console ever. I mean it is practically the same as a pc, but with a better os dedicated for gaming for more optimal performance, easy to repair yourself, easy to develop for, a lot of indie support with the ability for indie developers to self publish their games. they have raised the bar for the console industry, and by the looks of things xbox one and wii u don't stand a chance of making as much money as they did last gen. not to mention to make an equivalent pc to the ps4 it will set you back another £50 (I have looked it up so don't bother trying to argue). sony are actually losing money on each console they sell, because they plan to make their money from the gaming (which means they will be investing a lot more into the quality of their own games). I cannot contain my excitement to what sony is going to be offering us in the near future.

Sony When you will release it in India....

Plenty of people are probably still waiting for PS4s to come back to store shelves as well, good to see all the advertising and attention to gamers is paying off for Sony. Can't wait to find one in stores, hopefully I can get one before Christmas, if not I'll be staring at games with nothing to play them on.

Sony will vault past MS Xbox one and Wii U numbers quite easily. 2.1 Million consoles sold is a great beginning. The PS4 is still not even 1 month old. Sony looks to be making their 5 million mark for March 31st 2014.

Please get more out there. I WANT TO BUY YOUR CONSOLE.

Really great start to the generation sales wise.

Just wait until Japan, 1 million in 1-3 days :). Microsoft better optimize the hek out of that thing or else the pattern of multiplatforms running better on PS4 will start to appear and many will switch.

I'm a pS4 proud owner and I have to say Sony has done great. The price, the games for free(resogun, Dc online, warframe), the controller is just amazing, and the operating system runs very smoothly. The Design is very elegant, and no blod. I'm patiently waiting for the heavy hitters. I had problems redeeming lego Marvel but I waited for a day and now I have it there in my hdd....

I'd love to make it 2,100,001 -- so let's work harder on getting those systems out Sony!

Sony's biggest hurdle right now....keeping up with the demand. Nice place to be in business, and well-deserved, Sony has done a fantastic job with the PS4. PSN needs work tho...

Us and the Australians only managed 700,000 between us? That's pretty weak, but that's probably all that has made it to retailers so far. You must try harder Sony, and strike while the iron is hot. I'd be surprised if they haven't hit 2.5 million by Christmas though.

I'm still flabbergasted that Japan won't be getting (one of) their home-grown consoles until February. I've heard the excuse, but frankly I think it's a weak one.

With the black friday stock I wouldn't be surprised if the X1 got a sales boost. Its not a knock on the ps4, they were just sold out. Actually not having any PS4s in stock has probably been the X1s best friend.
