PS4 Uncharted 4 Release Window Revealed
Naughty Dog's PlayStation 4 action-adventure game due to launch before April 2016.
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Naughty Dog's highly anticipated PlayStation 4 action-adventure game, will arrive before April 2016. That's according to PlayStation president Andrew House, who included the game on a slide during his recent Investor Day presentation for the fiscal year 2015.
Sony's fiscal 2015 ends March 31, 2016.
We already knew that Uncharted 4 had been delayed from fall 2015 to "spring 2016," but this new information confirms the project will launch sometime in the first quarter of calendar 2016.
Explaining the Uncharted 4 delay back in March, directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley said: "Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End not only meets the team's high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."
Another slide reiterates that PS4 virtual reality headset, Project Morpheus, is due to launch in the first half of calendar year 2016. This means the device will launch before June. This is right around the same time that Oculus VR plans to ship its Oculus Rift consumer model.
