Crypt of the Necrodancer, the rhythm-based roguelike game from developer Brace Yourself Games, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita.

Announced via the PlayStation Blog, the game is being ported to Sony platforms. It originally launched on PC in back in April. In the game, players and enemies both move to a beat, requiring strategic positioning to get through its levels. Dungeons are procedurally generated, and the game is a roguelike, meaning that progress resets upon death.

The PS4 and Vita versions of the game are also getting an exclusive remix of the soundtrack. It'll be playable in the game, and it's done in chiptunes style by the composer of Shovel Knight. If you don't want to play with either the original or remixed soundtrack, you can use your own MP3s as backing tracks to the levels.

GameSpot critic Britton Peele thought that the PC version of Crypt of the Necrodancer was great, and you can read our review of it here.

There's no word yet on a release date for the Vita and PS4 versions. Keep an eye on GameSpot for more news about the game in the coming months.

A dungeon crawling rhythm game? White people and Asians will never be able to beat this. I know, I know, I'm making good fun of a simple stereotype but if it was a swimming simulator I would've said blowback people would never be able to play that either.

@rasterror: Asians are the best at breakdancing/hip hop, black people are the best booty dancing, and white people are the best at ballroom dancing.

@rasterror: I'd argue that asians are better hip hop dancers and whites are better contemporary dancers, jazz, ballroom, tap, etc etc

@putaspongeon: Best boots dancers....dafuq? What's boots dancing? And Asians aren't necessarily the best breakers. That's subjective. They can pull off moves easier because of their smaller size but New York still had the best b-boys.

@rasterror: 1) I never said boot dancers.

2) I never even mentioned breakers, hip hop isn't break dancing, hip hop includes top rock and a lot more, heck hip hop doesn't even really include break dancing a lot of the time.

3) That's subjective
