PS4/PC-Exclusive Star Trek: Bridge Crew Delayed to 2017
The virtual reality Star Trek game was originally set to release this year.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew is no longer releasing this year. In an update on its blog, Ubisoft announced it's delaying the virtual reality game to "deliver the best game experience possible at launch."
"We have decided to push the release of Star Trek: Bridge Crew to March 14, 2017," Ubisoft wrote. "Star Trek: Bridge Crew is designed exclusively for VR and we want to offer a compelling and engaging experience. Command of the USS Aegis is right around the corner!"
The Star Trek game was announced for Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and HTC Vive at E3 2016. The reveal trailer gave us our first look at the game being played by Star Trek actors Levar Burton, Jeri Ryan, and Karl Urban, while director Brian Tate stopped by GameSpot's E3 live show to discuss the game in greater detail. Its original release date, November 29, was announced in August.
