PSA: Today's Your Last Chance for a Free Windows 10 Upgrade
Claim your free copy while there's still time.
Tomorrow, July 29, marks the one-year anniversary of Windows 10's release. That makes this your last opportunity to take advantage of the free upgrade offer that's been going on since launch.
If you've somehow missed this until now, anyone with a (legitimate) copy of Windows 7 or 8 can upgrade to Windows 10 for free. Once this offer ends, it'll cost $120 to upgrade.
This isn't a trial version or anything of the sort; it's a full copy of Windows 10 you'll receive for use on the device you're upgrading. You can find out the full details here.
By upgrading, you'll entitle yourself to the Anniversary update scheduled to arrive in August. Among other things, this enables support for the Play Anywhere feature, which allows you to buy a digital copy of certain Xbox One and PC games and receive access on both platforms.

Microsoft is also giving away a variety of other things in the lead up to the Anniversary update, including the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode.
Thanks in part to this offer, Windows 10 had been installed on 350 million devices by the end of June. However, with change afoot in its phone hardware business, it no longer expects to hit one billion as quickly as it expected.
