PSA - Yes, Ghostwire: Tokyo Lets You Pet The Dog
GhostWire: Tokyo includes a dog and, of course, you can pet the good doggo.
During QuakeCon at Home's opening livestream, executive producer and Tango Gameworks founder Shinji Mikami talked briefly about GhostWire: Tokyo, thanking fans for the reception toward the recent gameplay reveal. He also said the action-adventure game has a dog you can absolutely pet.
"Thank you for the amazing reception our recent gameplay trailer received," Mikami said. "In the meantime, we are working hard to make this game even more cool and unique. Lastly, I have a very important announcement about GhostWire: Tokyo. In GhostWire: Tokyo, you'll be able to pet the dog."
And so it has been confirmed: You can pet the dog in GhostWire: Tokyo. The footage shown during the QuakeCon livestream event includes a dog reference, calling it a "work is pawgress." Despite how unsettling the game looks, GhostWire: Tokyo contains some wholesomeness. Look at the dog.

Of course, GhostWire: Tokyo isn't the only game that allows you to lovingly pet animals. Ghost of Tsushima lets you pet the fox, Assassin's Creed Valhalla lets you pet the cat, and The Division 2 lets you pet the dog. GhostWire: Tokyo is just another instance where you can pet the dog.
Aside from learning that we can, in fact, pet the dog, information about GhostWire: Tokyo is still relatively scarce at the moment. We do know that the game will launch on PC and PlayStation 5 in 2021 and, with it being a next-gen title, that it will take advantage of PS5 features.
