PSN Maintenance Begins Tonight, Here's Exactly When

The PlayStation Network maintenance period that Sony announced last week is happening soon. The maintenance is expected to begin at 9:30 PM PST today, May 24, and run for two hours, ending at 11:30 PM PST.

This comes out to 12:30 AM EST to 2:30 AM EST, if you live on the east coast.

On the PSN Service Status page, Sony explained that only PlayStation 4 is affected. During the maintenance period, users will not be able to access account management, PlayStation Video, or the PlayStation Store.

However, anyone who is signed in before the maintenance kicks off can play games and use "most" applications without interruption.

"We strive to ensure that PlayStation Network services are available at all times, but occasionally we must take PlayStation Network offline to perform essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements," Sony said. "We are working hard to reduce the duration of each maintenance."
