Pre-orders are live now, with bundles ranging from $30 / £25 / AU $40 to $60 / £50 / AU $85, depending on how many in-game coins you want and whether you desire a Survivor Pass. All those who do buy the game in advance of launch will receive two platform-exclusive items: a Nathan Drake outfit from Uncharted and Ellie's backpack from The Last of Us. PUBG Corp. also states the game is "enhanced for PS4 Pro systems, including support for HDR lighting on compatible TV sets."

PUBG first came to PC in March 2017 as part of Steam's early access program. It later came to Xbox One as an Xbox Game Preview title, and launched fully on those platforms in December 2017 and September 2018, respectively. Microsoft announced recently that PUBG would be among 15 games coming to Xbox Game Pass in November.

A PS4 version has been heavily rumored for some time, and a PlayStation port was listed by the South Korean ratings board in September. Before that, developer PUBG Corp. had stated it wanted its hit battle royale game to come to "every platform."

The Xbox One version was successful at launch, selling more than 1 million units in the first 48 hours despite still being in beta at that point. Since that time, PUBG Corp. has supported the shooter with a multitude of updates, including new maps, weapons, and modes. You'll be able to find the Xbox One version on sale this Black Friday.

Ickblah. It's still basically an unbalanced, buggy mess on XBOX.

CoD Blackout is the better option for BR.

I'm willing to try this out. Never got into fortnite, cod or h1Z1. As long as it controls good and is balanced then it will be welcomed as having more options for PS4 owners. Also, I hope it has crossplay.

Couldn't have picked a worse time. Fortnite all but controls the Battle Royale landscape and BO4 did just enough to have a decent BR experience.

I don't see many people willing to start anew with an older less polished product when there exists a better product with freshener and newer BR experiences on the way.

I hope that initial exclusivity deal was worth it.

Well this is great. I've always wanted to give it a go. Even though I have a PC, I just got stuck on the PS4. A month is good, can't wait now!

I have played a lot of battle royales and CoD Blackout mode is great. I am not a call of duty fan but compared to pubg and h1z1 it is light years better.

I sympathize with those out there that share the sentiment “too little too late” but I’m sure exposing such a monster of a hit (even though in some sense the “ship may have sailed”.) in the way of PUBG is still more than likely to cause quite a splash in the PS4 gaming realm.

It seemed like around this time last year all anyone in the gaming world was commenting on was PUBG. Now it seems like Fortnite has filled that void. I don’t expect PUBG to reclaim the same audience nor reception it did all those months ago but to say that there will be no audience once that ship comes to dock isn’t exactly true either.

@videogameninja: Too late ninja! This game is DoA, unless its free. Hell, i can play it (free) on my freaking phone! Sony shouldn't even let it be released now. Hope the deal with M$ was worth it. Because no one is interested in this anymore. EDIT: Or better yet, it will sink!

@everson_rm: If that's true then that's really a case of short term gain but long term loss.

Perhaps it will be a warning in some ways for developers in the future who plan on releasing new titles on multiple systems.

I don't particularly think having timed exclusives are necessarily a bad thing but when the titles in question seem to have a shorter shelf life (ex: everyone is playing multiplayer only game "X" game now vs in a year when barely anyone is.) something like this may be more detrimental than one might initially think.

@oo7superdave: If the game doesn't do well on the PlayStation because of jaded saltiness, it'll just go to show them they made the right choice... Especially since the game is still buggy as hell on the Xbox.

@jbreez00: it has nothing to do with jaded saltiness. It is old news. Blackout mode is far better and there are other BR's on the horizon. I played it on xbox it is an optimized disaster, and you cant have game exclusivity for this length of time; while better options are being released and then expect to do well

@oo7superdave: The exclusivity period was long, but it was about the same length for all available platforms and it still somehow did well even when fortnite was available before it so it could still find an audience.

While this may not apply to you, I have noticed a lot of saltiness when it comes to 3rd party exclusives on the Xbox or the switch opposed to the ones the PS4 gets.

Black Ops 4, BFV and RDR2 all have current or due to be released BR modes.

Wouldn’t even bother...

Meh It’s a little late, too many other options out now for BR and just other games in general on the PS4.
