That surprise has been revealed in the announcement that Quake III: Team Arena will come to the Macintosh. Show attendees who visit the ATI booth will get a chance to take a look at the Quake III: Team Arena mission pack running under Apple's next-generation operating system, Mac OS X, with 3D acceleration provided by ATI's latest offering, the Radeon. Reports suggest that id was to show a demo of the game when ATI introduced the Radeon at Steve Jobs' keynote, but a information leak by ATI on Monday led Apple to cancel the entire demo segment.
