Rage 'The Scorchers' DLC inbound?

Rage was perhaps the best looking game of the year ruined by stupid marketing. Like the title, which had absolutely nothing to do with what happened in the game.

rented this game when it came out and nothing was very innovative. One thing that turned me away was when i was playing and started doing the first few quests, there was a sewer and It warned me to be really ready if i go in because it's hard. I was like ooOOh. I decided to wait till i had better weapons and when i came back it said i needed to buy the dlc...I said fk you and i stopped playing. I didn't want to come across anything and it stop me, guns loaded, to say i need to pay more money.

ive platinum it so whats the point ?

Any chance this DLC is an attempt to get people to revisit the base game, because they've made some dramatic improvements to it? Because if it's just plain old tacked on new content DLC, then uh yeah, good luck with that.

This game was awesome in my opinion. I beat it on the hardest difficulty on the second time around. I'm guessing from reading these comments I liked it a lot more because I barely saw any of the game (or the hype) before I bought it. I just heard about it from some friends and decided to check it out. So Rage with no hype = great game.

a little to late with this game...this game was okay...one of the biggest overhype game of this gen (look at the graphics,its running at 60fps)

Was excited about this game when i first heard about it in 2008.It was slated to be the the first blu ray game for PC but that never happened and when the game did appear it was in my opinion a train wreck of a game great graphics with poor gameplay but i completed it anyway and uninstalled it straight after lol.

Uh, um, you really gonna come with DLC more than a year after you come out with a highly anticipated flop of a game? O.K. go for it. I hope you learn your lesson if you don't sell the DLC.

I wasn't sure about this game when I first saw it at E3 2011. Since the price is cheaper, I decided to get it a few days ago. I think it's okay at best. It does do some things beautifully right, but also disgustingly wrong too. It's no Wolfenstein, Doom, or Quake, but I still find it fun to play.

I'm looking forward to the DLC since I do find RAGE to be a compelling game from ID, and I would love to play some more.

Wow, this (hopefully) gives me a reason to dust this game off. Glad I didn't sell it.

@Tripwolf Agreed. Very technically proficient game. In particular, the animations on the baddies are top notch.

been playing RAGE most of the last month or so. While i didn't think it was worth 60 when i tried it after 1st coming out, i liked it quite a bit but ended up waiting till it priced-dropped significantly. Now wish i wouldn't have waited quite so long as i've been having even more fun with it than b4. And loving the road rage modes which i didnt try at launch because for some odd reason almost every critical review i read bashed them. Sure the game has a few issues but i think it's still has a lot going for it. Will prob. Check out this dlc if it actually comes out.

Unless the DLC expands on the ending IE Broken Steel for Fallout 3. There is no point. The game was a great looking shooter and fun, but the ending felt rushed and short.

@HKILLER88888 First of all , it's Prey not Pray , second: Bethesda said Prey 2 is still under discussion whether they want to release such a thing or not.

Rage felt like a tech demo. Sure, it was fun and engaging, but...meh.

Why was Rage disappointing? When a game has you walk a linear path in one mission and a few missions later you do that exact same linear path in another mission, except backwards, it just shows that not a lot of thought or time was put into it. Rage started out ok and I was enjoying it but about half way through it was clear they started taking short cuts and then by the end, which came along entirely too quick, it just dribbled off like they ran out of money or something. I traded it in a long time ago. It was nothing like I expected it to be from all the pre-release information that was given. It was short, unimaginative, and lazy. Releasing a DLC this far after release on a game like this shows that they really don't have a clue. They should have put those resources into a new game that would hopefully make up for what the first game failed to be.

Why? Leave the dead game dead.... ID needs a new dead horse to flog...

I think Rage was merely a great game, but the story could have had a little more put into it; same for the characters, the atmosphere felt like it needed only a slightly more emphasis, and the ending was pretty unexceptional. If this could somehow add a little more to all that on a plus side, that'd be cool, but I don't think that's what's going to happen.

It seems awkward to even add anything to this game by now, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. I think this is supposed to be about a tribe that wasn't put into the final game. I am also not interested in a new difficulty. Doom 3's nightmare was terrible because to me it just seemed like a joke with how you lose health no matter what; if this is what that's going to be, I'm not going to play that.

I hope if the DLC comes out, it's good. I would actually really like to see a sequel with the improvements where necessary.

Why bother makeing a Rage Dlc the game is so old, just go make a new game.

rage on pc is a buggy mess that never got fully fixed. version 1.2 and still annoying mouse bugs and pop-in textures.

yes yes yes... most underestimated game of last year. Cant wait for a dlc !

rage was amazing, I picked up the game recently after buying my i7 2600k with a ud7-b3 motherboard and what was high end at the time which was a gtx570. I was able to increase the textures by about 200-400% using a small hack and honestly I still feel like it was one of the best looking games I've ever played. The steampunk overall design/aeshetic was really cool too along with the general shooting engine. Dunno what people are complaining about. It was a couple of years between the e3 announcement and the release, i followed the whole thing and was reasonably pleased.

Too little, too late, in my book.

Just get on with making Doom 4, and make it worth while.

Rage was a really good game with a bad ending and some rendering issues on PS3 (might be fixed?). For any who haven't played it, it's only $12 used at Gamestop. Great deal. I'll be checking out this DLC even if it's a year late.

Dont get why so many people were let down by Rage? I picked it up a few months ago cheap as and Ive put more time into it than other games I've paid full price for. Credit where its due lads

Looks like a good DLC. The only bad thing with this game is the disc swaping on Xbox.

I thought this game sucked. Nice graphics, weak everything else. Typical of id, they just make glorified tech demos to sell game engines. But Epic has been doing that for the same length of time and has great games in comparison. Haven't really like anything from id since Quake 3 Arena.

Don't get me wrong I liked Rage, but does anyone still play this game enough to warrent a add on?

I loved Rage, never had a problem with it on my PC...I look very much forward to this.

Good news for me. I loved RAGE. Its too bad it was under appreciated, but I'll be first in line for some DLC.
