Flying Lab needs players to test its upcoming real-time railroad strategy game.
Strategy First and Flying Lab Software have opened the public beta test for their upcoming real-time strategy game Rails Across America. The companies are looking for both strategy game fans and railroad fans to help test the game. Testers must sign a nondisclosure agreement, be able to download 50MB builds, and have a minimum machine configuration of a Pentium 233 with 64MB RAM. Rails Across America will let players control a North American railroad empire from the 1830s to the near future. The game supports hundreds of tracks and thousands of trains. The game focuses on strategic decisions, such as when and where to expand the railroad network, how to best compete against other railroad empires, and when to ask for help from the government or unions.
