Rainbow Six Siege Beta Reopens Following Launch Woes [Update 2]
Servers return to life following teething issues.
[Update 2] Ubisoft says it is set to resume the open beta at 12pm Eastern, which is minutes away as of press time. Further updates will appear here should the beta encounter more problems.
[Update 1] Things still are not going very well. Servers for all platforms are being taken down for maintenance, Ubisoft explains in this forum post. We'll update this story as new details become available.

The open beta for Rainbow Six Siege was supposed to begin today, November 25, at 10 AM EST. However, Ubisoft ran into some issues and has made the decision to postpone its launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

"We're currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms," the developer said in the game's forums. "As such, we're postponing the open beta until a later time and keeping the game under closed beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements."

The Siege open beta comes with quite a bit of content, including 14 operators, three maps, and three game modes. Check out the image below for a full rundown of what to expect.
The Siege beta is scheduled to end on November 29, but it's unclear if that's still the case considering it did not launch on time. The previous Siege closed beta also encountered some issues and Ubisoft extended its duration to make up for them.
The full version of Siege arrives next Tuesday, December 1 across all three platform behind major sales expectations.
