Rare hints at the end of Joanna Dark

Although Rare has not confirmed a sequel to its Nintendo 64 shooter Perfect Dark, the company does make a vague reference to a second installment in the series in the letters section of its Web site. In response to a fan question regarding the modeling of Joanna Dark, Rare responds that if a sequel were to be developed it is conceivable that Joanna would not be the lead character.

"If we make a game called After Dark--I assume you're ham-handedly referring to a sequel to Perfect Dark--it is entirely possible that Joanna will be nowhere in it," the company said as part of its response to the fan letter. Unfortunately, no further information was revealed.
