Rare has posted a FAQ file on its web site to comment on the upcoming titles that have fueled several rumors on the Internet, as of late. One comment was in regard to the recent Internet rumor that Twelve Tales: Conker 64 had been canned. Rare says, "No, it hasn't. It's still being worked on by a full team and with the same level of dedication as when it was first announced - it's just been through a couple of fairly major facelifts in its time, the current one being the most drastic. We still have every intention of unleashing the game upon the world just as soon as it's finished, and we think you'll be impressed with the results.… "

Rare also commented on the recent rumor that a Killer Instinct 3 was in development. "Despite what other 'sources' might suggest, we haven't been keeping KI3 or any other fighting game under wraps all this time. We haven't even decided if or when such a thing is going to happen." Guess you can throw that rumor out the window.

In regard to when Banjo-Tooie (the sequel to Banjo Kazooie) will release, Rare commented, "Let's just wait until some of our other, more imminent, projects have had their turn under the spotlight - then we'll get down to promoting Banjo-Tooie for all we're worth.… For now, though, rest assured that we're hard at work trying to outdo the original game in as many ways as possible."
