Rare working on PD0, Kameo updates

i love pdz its a great game many people who say it sucks can' t aim. aimming in this game takes skill and in halo its easy becuz its a auto aim feature in it and its build in so just train more and watch out 4 the good players like me because we will take your heads off. HeadShot!!!

All the people who are saying that PDZ sucks just suck at the game. They don't like it because it wasn't made for noobs like halo 2 was. They can't aim at first so they give up on it and say it sucks when if they actually practiced at it they'd get better and realize how noobified halo 2 is. Yeah, the single player for PDZ is horrific but the multiplayer is amazing and has lots of depth.

I'm getting really tired of all of you complaining about how bad PDZ supposedly is. Microsoft would have had hell to pay from all of you if PDZ hadnt been a launch title. You cant expect a launch game to be as good as it could possibly be. No launch game that I know of has ever represented what the console can do to its fullest extent. So just save your complaints about the "terrible" games that have come out for the first next generation consoles for the PS3 and the inevitble problems that will happen with that console. And for all of you that think I am only of those M$ fanboys I hated the XBOX and I own PS1, Megadrive, Gamecube, DS, PSP and PC. I dont like one games console or company more than others I just go for the games that I enjoy. You are all of course free to express you opinions but dont try to force your opinions on others.

PDZ sucked sooooooooooo hard and kameo did as well why couldnt they make pdz like the great N64 version and dont call me a nintendo fanboy cuz i played the 360 and liked call of duty 2 but when i put this crap in i instantly hated it.

Viquist: Nintendo did well by dumping them. While PDZ and Kameo are solid titles for the Xbox 360, they simply aren't as good as Rare's past "masterpieces". It's pretty evident that Rare is a whole new company, and sadly that isn't for the better.

Sorry, but Rare should have stayed with Nintendo, Nintendo should have kept them... could you imagine Kameo and PD:0 with the new controller, Awesome!!! Anyway, it's all buggy now and they're trying to fix it all, so maybe Nintendo got rid of them for a very good reason.

Yeah i notice Rare has lost some of it's luster since MS bought nintendo. I notice nintendo is the reason why rare was even making masterpieces like Goldeneye 007, Banjo and Kazooi, Perfect dark, and Conker's : Bad fur day. Thankfully, Kameo and PDZ served me well for the 360.

cant wait PDZ is a great game you can please everyone don't see how you could not like it cant wait for some new maps and i hope they fix the spawning 2 miles away thing and the game will be complete looking for compaction see me with a sword or rocket luncher

sweet online co-op for kameo. . i was disappointed it didn't have it but it looks like it will. . .and the multiplayer maps for pd0 hopefully they will have more levels with jetpacks and such

Thank God Rare is working on some new maps for PDZ's multiplayer... I don't know how much longer I can play through the same six areas online before I get completely sick of them...

"to fix some of the annoying issues players have with the game." --microsoft releasing a patch for a game? i'm shocked... shocked... also, remember Kameo first appeared on the original gamecube packaging. I haven't played it or PD0, but considering the games' general reception, it's certainly becomming clearer why Nintendo sold it's stake in Rare (have you played starfox adventures? great graphics/game blows). I loved PerfectDark and am sorry PD0 wasn't a socks blowing off experience. Same for Kameo.

pd0 is alright. i replay it alot. but thats just the multiplayer and because of the custom soundtrack at anytime. oh god.. if it didnt have adjustable aiming, and custom soundtracks. i wouldve taken back the game the day i beat it (which wouldve been a day and a half) theres so much promise with it but they just didnt do it right. pure and simple.

PD0 multiplayer is where it's at -- have been hoping there would be more maps coming and they are. Sweet.

just give me Perfect Dark, I don't care if it's a rehash or not, but no more zero, lol.

Patches for console games? This doesn't warm me to Xbox 360 at all. Actually, this makes me even more wary of the next-generation consoles and their over-reliance on online features...

Hey theres Optimus again. Good ole fanboy. Honestly PD0 doesnt suck, its just not even remotely on par with other FPS's out there you could be playing. I used to own PD0 and sold it because its just too damn similar to original PD (theres other reasons, read below). I still own a 64 and would much rather play PD with its crappier graphics than play PD0, a game which plays and sometimes even looks remarkably similar to PD, but with a much larger sticker price, a myriad of bugs, horrible single player mode (im sorry but you cant deny this, if you do your truly a rabid fanboy), and such a small selection of Multi maps (7 if you count the desert as two). I know that many 360 buyers dont have the cash to purchase multiple Next gen systems and decided that the 360 was the system for them, but that doesnt mean that people who do have the cash dont have the right to voice some truth without being flamed by those few who stick to a particular company just because of pride of purchase. Personaly I believe I made a huge mistake in buying the 360 so early in its life, as theres truly not much to play on it. Perhaps a year from now the outlook will be different, but for now, even the remainder of this year looks grim for the 360, as its forecasted games dont include exclusive killer aps that the 360 desperately needs right now. This is a problem thats going to persist throughout the next gen war with Nintendo and Sony as well, and from the looks of it now, 3rd party exclusivity will determine what company ends up with the biggest user base. And I didnt even mention the 360 shortage (which btw, even though the PS2 also launched with bugs and shortages, the ratio of available PS2's to buyers wasnt to the point where 20 out of 300 people waiting for their system didnt get one, a problem that occured on the 360's release date and that couldve been drastically reduced if Microsoft launched in the US only and waited for supplies to refill to launch in other countries).

yeah and I agree PDZ was kinda weak. It didn't give me any of those holy crap moments that Halo does

I love this stuff, next gen isn't just better graphics, its better gameplay, which can come with Xbox Live. The New Live makes the experiance for me. As long as I got Xbox Live I'll be fine. Its fun to download stuff.

I for one love PDZ. I think it can only get better with an update and new maps. It may not be the Perfect Dark I was waiting for years for. But it is what it is, and I like it.

I wouldn't say PDZ "sucked" but I was severly let down after playing it, I say pd 64 was way more fun, and yes I own and love my 360! the console is great but of all the games I wanted at launch... pdz let me down.

pdz sucks??? Funny I think people are just mad it isn't on the ps3 so they say it sucks. pdz's gameplay is absolutely insane.

rbarahona: the reviews for both games arent that great. Go to www.gamestats.com and check out total press reviews for both games. PD0 is at a decent 8.3 out of 10 and Kameo has an 8.1 out of 10. May I also remind you that A) half of the good reviews come from editorials which know next to nothing about gaming, and B) Most Xbox 360 games are being given more credit than they deserve due to the higher quality graphics, a big part of most reviews u read for these two games. Overall, considering, the amount of time that was also imparted in creating these games, their truly giant messes. And before anyone accuses me of being a fanboy for another console company, I own a 360 (well, not for long) and have already sold PD0 and I rented Kameo (Buster isnt the only Video games rental service around) and returned it same day. Honestly I rather use my dusty Gamecube than play either of those games for the 360. (The GC actually has its fair share of great games, even if its a small list). Regarding these updates: Too late too few. They shouldve done this back in January at the latest, not somewhere between 3 and 4 months (or maybe even more according to the article) AFTER launch. On the other hand, theres such a horrible lack of exclusive games for the 360 that fanboys will probably have more to brag about (almost everything they brag about is non-existent anyway) about when these updates release. Sad. Im going back to PC gaming while Microsoft decides to release quality console products. And for those of you whore still sticking around, remember that there are NO exclusive killer aps scheduled for the 360 this year. Both Oblivion and Gears are also PC titles, and no it doesnt require a 2k computer to play them (If you say this you obviously havent been to a tiger direct store recently). And the chances of Halo 3 releasing this year? Grand if you want a crappy sequel, 0% if you want something decent.

mhder - you are clearly clueless as to what next gen console should be like and any system you buy will obviously be because you are its fanboy and not because you necessarily know anything, as to the updates MS is utilizing Live very well so far and im sure nintendo and sony will be taking notes on how to do it themselves

It's good to listen that Rare is working in updates for their games. I loved the work of Rare in his Nintendo 64 days. I haven't played any of the 360 games, but I have read the reviews and from this kind of updates, Kameo and PD0 can only get better.

why release games at launch if you know they have significant issues that need fixing? patch = "update"?
