Today's Pokemon-themed Nintendo Direct briefing is almost here. The video event starts today at 7 AM PST / 10 AM EST and will bring some "big news," according to The Pokemon Company. You will be able to watch the briefing in full through the Twitch embed below.
"Catch a new Nintendo Direct celebrating 20 years of Pokemon!" reads a line from the event's description.
The Pokemon franchise debuted in Japan on February 27, 1996, and this briefing is just one of the ways that The Pokemon Company and Nintendo are celebrating the anniversary. Other events include a soiree with Drew Barrymore and a 24-hour animation livestream, among many other things.
We don't know what will be discussed during the Nintendo Direct briefing today. Just yesterday, unannounced Pokemon properties Sun and Moon emerged.
Check back with GameSpot later today to get all the news.
