Red Dead Redemption 2 On PC Adds All This New Story Mode Content

There's more for Red Dead Redemption 2 fans to see in the PC version.

Rockstar is launching Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC in November, and now the company has announced some of the extra content that's being added to the story mode. In addition to the improved graphics, there is a lot of new content coming to the PC version, which might be good news for PC players who had to wait a long time to play Rockstar's celebrated open-world western.

The new content includes new bounty hunter missions, more gang hideouts, and new treasure maps. Rockstar is also adding more weapons, including the Evans Repeater and High Roller Revolver that were previously only available in Red Dead Online. There are also more trinkets to collect that give players special bonuses like permanent increases for health bar refill speed and horse bonding experience. There is also a brand-new mission, "To The Ends of the Earth," that players can complete to earn a "range of rewards."

Now Playing: Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Specs & New Content Revealed - GS News Update

It appears Rockstar might be yet again commenting on politics with one of the bounty hunter missions. One of the missions involves finding a bad guy named "Bart Cavanaugh" and either taking him dead or alive. The name Bart Cavanaugh sure sounds like a lot like Brett Kavanaugh, the embattled United States Supreme Court justice.

Below you can see a rundown of all of the new content coming to Red Dead Redemption 2's PC version (as written by Rockstar). It's unclear at this point if some or all of this content will ever come to the game's PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions.

Red Dead Redemption 2 launches for PC on November 5. For more, check out the game's PC system requirements for an idea of what kind of hardware you'll need to run the game.

Kudos, Rockstar. Way to succeed in p*ssing off every single person who purchased the console versions.

Sadly no mater how upset people get they'll flock in droves and STILL buy every new GTA when it comes out just like Madden diehards who buy every annual game for minor tweaks.

@Spuzzy77: Even if the Rockstar didn't add new content to the PC version, there would be extra content due to mods anyways.

@JustinGoSka: Truth. Then again if they follow what seems to happen in the industry, they'll 'remaster' it and put it out on the next gen system allowing mods a la Skyrim: Special Edition.

as much as it sucks for those on consoles it is a plus as it introduces an amazing game to a new crowd of people on PC who don't play on/refuse to play on consoles.

@Spuzzy77: I'm pretty excited. I've been waiting for it to come to PC. After you play shooter with a keyboard and mouse, it's pretty hard to play with a controller.

@JustinGoSka: I started on PC with the original COD and Medal of Honor back in the day and then moved over to console/Controller. They both seem to work well for me. Nice to be able to swap back and forth.

@gekko: Why would they do that? The new content has nothing to do with visual fidelity or performance. Therefore if the newer content was coming to consoles, it would be now as opposed to later. I mean take a look at the system requirements. The game isn't that demanding really.

Perhaps they're giving this to PC Gamers as a gesture for the wait, at least that's what it looks like.

It is a good thing that I waited for the PC release rather than buying the game for my console. The PC version seems to be the more complete and full featured version.

The only non-online additions they've added since GTAV came out and they make it PC locked? They really need to add this stuff to the console releases. The console sales are responsible for the game's success, give those people something.

@lionheartssj1: Sure, as soon as Sony would start releasing their exclusives on PC as well and stop paying third party developers to make dlcs for games exclusive to the PS4 platform.

@gamerforlife96: The RDR 2 additional content should be released on Xbox since they are nice enough to release their exclusives on PC.

For Sony, their consoles don't deserve any consideration for their anti consumer exclusionary practices, their resistance to cross play, their lack of back compatibility, and their censorship.
