Red Dead Redemption 2's First Online Update Of 2021 Lets You Reset Your Honor
Were you too much of a scumbag last year? Rockstar is giving out free honor resets and more to help you get started in 2021.
The first update of 2021 for Red Dead Online has arrived, and it gives everyone a clean slate. To ring in the new year, Rockstar is giving everyone a free honor reset that they can use to start anew, which is great because it can be very easy to do dastardly deeds in the game.
And if you want to make a change to your character's look, all barbers in Red Dead Online are giving free haircuts until January 11. If your New Year's resolution was to drink more alcohol, there is good news for you, too, as saloons are giving away free drinks all week.
Outside of this, the new update makes the Naturalist Sample Sales to Harriet Davenport pay out a further 50% cash in RDO$. Additionally, everyone who completes a Collector's Set and turns it into Madam Nazar will get a 30% increase to their payouts.
What's more, all A Land of Opportunities missions are paying out triple XP this week, while triple XP is also available for Free Roam missions.
For those looking to stock up on new items, the following wares are discounted this week:
- 30% off all Revolvers
- 60% off all Ammo
- 50% off all Food, Liquors and Tonics including Harriet's Tonics
- 30% off Stable Stalls, Horse Tonics and Horse Food
- 40% off Horse equipment – Saddles, Saddlebags, Stirrups, Blankets, Horns
- 30% off all Legendary Ram Garment Sets in Gus' Store
What's more, everyone who connects their Rockstar Games Social Club account to Amazon's Prime Gaming gets a free bounty hunter license and the trimmed amethyst bounty wagon livery. And finally, those who link their accounts before January 18 will get a free ability card upgrade and 50% off a weapon pamphlet at the Fence.
Red Dead Online is the multiplayer element of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it's now available as a standalone game for only $5 as part of an introductory offer. Rockstar's other huge game, Grand Theft Auto V, will split off its own multiplayer mode, GTA Online, later in 2021.
